In the trailer for the movie Taken, the main guy goes - "I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."

In times like these, I want to change that and say –
"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for a programmer, I can tell you I don't have code. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me an asset for people like you. If you let me keep my job for now, that'll be the end of it. I will look out for you, I will pursue your office goals. I love travelling. Exploring a new place is always full of adventure. You come back from the trip with new ideas. It almost like your mind expands with every new travel.

I start this year's travels with a short weekend trip to Princeton, NJ.

Last night by the ocean.

I am sitting on the beach under a starry sky, looking at waves as they gently break on the shore.

What is it with the ocean? You feel so peaceful. Though the ocean and the waves are so random and chaotic yet there is a sense of calmness about it.

I guess I am going to slip in to my philosophical ramblings or maybe atleast this time forget musings and just let my mind calm down.

Kennedy Space Center

For a space fan like me the Kennedy Space Center is like a coming to a holy site. I just got done the shuttle launch simulation ride and for person who has seen and heard so many shuttle launches, this was a new experience. Though childish it was a lot of fun. Now off to the shuttle launch facility.

We finally reached Daytona beach, FL and checked into our hotel. It is a nice comfy place and ocean front is a 2 minute walk.

It is time to sleep and get some rest because tommorow the ocean is calling!

5 hours to Daytona, FL. We took an exit to lunch. Weather is just fantastic - 75 F. A far cry from the cold and dull days back in Illinois.

I have been wanting to do road trip since a long time. Given the low gas price and bunch of holidays - I decided to go on road trip to Florida. The rough itienary is as follows: Bloomington, IL - Atlanta, GA - Daytona, FL - Parkers Lake, KY - Bloomington, IL

Unlike last times this time I will make regular updates during the trip.
